Requirements
- Two tests (midterm + endterm):
- personally, with pen + paper;
- exercises like in the classes (see above);
- 90 minutes each (see dates above);
- 40 points each;
- grade limits: 34- (5), 28- (4), 22- (3), 16- (2);
- requirement: both tests pass (≥ 16 points);
- you can retake one → it overrides the original.
- 10 quizzes:
- personally, with pen + paper;
- simple exercise from the last class('s topics);
- 5 minutes each, in the beginning of most classes (see quiz dates above);
- 2 points each, 20 points in total;
- requirement: ≥ 8 points;
- if you miss one → 0 points;
- you can retake any 3 quizzes at the end → they override the original ones.
- Complex homework ("coursework assignment"):
- a longer homework, on your own, in complex numbers;
- the exercises can be downloaded from this website above, after login ("Complex HW");
- to be submitted in your own handwriting, either on paper, or by uploading its picture on this website above;
- deadline: last class (12 May, 10:15);
- 20 points in total, requirement: ≥ 8 points;
- you can retake it (independently from the other retakes) after the Endterm Test.
- Practice grade:
- 120 points in total: 40 (midterm) + 40 (endterm) + 20 (quizzes) + 20 (complex homework);
- grade limits: 102- (5), 84- (4), 66- (3), 48- (2);
- but each component must be successful:
- if any test fails (after retake) → your grade is 1;
- if the quizzes fail (< 8 p after retake) → your grade is 1;
- if the complex homework fails (< 8 p after retake) → your grade is 1.
- Attendance is compulsory:
- you can miss ≤ 3 classes;
- "half-absence" ("H", 0.5 missed class) if you are late too much (> 10 min.) or leave the class for any reason.
- Extra homework (optional exercises):
- after each class, new questions will be added here: Extra homework;
- optional, more difficult exercises for plus points;
- max. 10 points in total;
- they don't help you pass, only improve your successful grade;
- deadline: 3 weeks after their assignment (but not later than the retake test);
- for mathematical questions:
- submit it in your own handwriting;
- either on paper, or upload its picture on this website (after login);
- for programming questions:
- upload the source code (single file) on this website (after login);
- in almost any language, but if it's not C, C++, C#, Java, JS, PHP, Python, Sage or Haskell, please ask me first.
