Short Test retake: 27 May 10:00
Retake Test: 29 May 16:00
Requirements
- Two tests (midterm + endterm):
- personally, with pen + paper;
- 90 minutes each (see dates above);
- exercises like in the classes (see topics above);
- 40 points each;
- grade limits (from 2 to 5): 16-22-28-34;
- requirement: both tests pass (≥ 16 points);
- you can retake one → it overrides the original.
- 10 short tests:
- personally, with pen + paper;
- 5 minutes each, in the beginning of all classes except the first (see ST dates above);
- simple exercise from the last class('s topics);
- 2 points each, 20 points total;
- requirement: ≥ 8 points;
- if you miss one → 0 points;
- you can retake any 3 tests at the end → they override those tests.
- Practice grade:
- 100 points in total: 40 (midterm) + 40 (endterm) + 20 (shorts);
- grade limits (from 2 to 5): 40-55-70-85;
- if any great test fails (after retake) → your grade is 1;
- if the short tests fail (< 8 p after retake) → your grade is 1.
- Attendance is compulsory:
- you can miss ≤ 3 classes;
- "half-absence" (0.5 missed class) if you are late too much (> 10 min.) or leave the class for any reason.
- Homeworks for the next class:
- given in the above calendar ("HW"), later that day;
- for practicing the class topics at home.
- Extra homeworks (optional, more difficult exercises):
- given in the above calendar ("Extra"), later that day;
- you can hand them in for extra points;
- 1 extra point for each correct solution (max. 10 points);
- math exercises: in your own handwriting;
- programming exercises: send the code in e-mail;
- deadline: 3 weeks after their assignment (but not later than the retake test).
